The safety and longevity of an engine mainly depend on the quality of the work performed by the repairer and the spare parts used. The IAP Quality Parts® engine product range was created as a response to this need by providing products compatible with original equipment and alternative solutions to guarantee optimal repair
The engine bushings, for example, are an important constructive element for engines. IAP makes use of Asian original equipment manufacturers (NDC Japan) and offers a range of main bearings, connecting rod and washers with bimetallic, trimetallic and "sputter" treatment for specific applications on the latest generation of high performance diesel engines. The assortment also includes standard and increased sizes also for those applications not envisaged by the OE.
Pistons, segments and engine liners are another fundamental element for the life of the engine. IAP Quality Parts® pistons are made by original equipment manufacturers with the highest construction standards indicated by the OE specifications and, depending on the applicability, they have specific heat treatments in molybdenum disulfide (MOS2), cooling tunnels or incorporated reinforcement elements (ALFIN). To facilitate the ordering process, they are supplied in standard or oversized kits complete with segments and pins suitable for each other (references with IAP pre-code 100), or in kits with only pistons and pins (IAP pre-code 101).
IAP Quality Parts motor liners are mainly dry motor liners for cars, 4WD and commercial vehicles. The assortment includes finished and semi-finished liners; the latter to facilitate the repairer in the overhaul although the first Asian equipment usually includes the finished sleeves as an OE spare part. The IAP Quality Parts engine range also offers complete, semi-complete, short block engines, bare and complete engine heads, crankshafts and camshafts; all elements subject to high thermal stresses which require a particularly high work rate and therefore precise design specifications to guarantee reliability and performance. To meet these requirements, the IAP Quality Parts range uses original equipment, Premium or original OE.
